Tasks:
The Dean's office is a governing body of the university responsible for the administrative duties of the Faculty. The statute of the university, called the "Grundordnung", determines the Dean's office to be made up of the Dean, as well as at least two Assistant Deans, of which one has to be a Dean of Studies. The Dean's office is also home to a number of staff members assisting the Deans in their work. According to §15 paragraph 5 of the "Grundordnung", the Dean's office appoints individual areas of operation to the members on recommendation of the Dean. In these areas, the staff can work very independently. Additionally, the Dean's office reports regularly to the Rector's office about the course of their affairs concerning the budget plan and the structure and development strategy.
