Marlene Schulz is Academic Staff Member and doctoral student at the chair of English Linguistics (A1). She received her degree (Staatsexamen) in German and English language and literature in 2012 at Mannheim University. Thereafter, she worked at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern in the department of Psycholinguistics and Language Development (Prof. Allen) as an Academic Staff Member from 2013-2015 before she returned to Mannheim University. Her main research interests are multilingualism and language acquisition as well as transfer effects. She teaches undergraduate classes such as “Second language acquisition” and “Contrastive perspectives on German and English”.
