Stefan Danter is an Academic Staff Member and doctoral student at the chair of American Literature and Culture (Anglistik III). He holds a degree in English Studies and Sociology received from the University of Mannheim. His dissertation The Specter of Posthumanism applies contemporary theories of critical posthumanism to examples from American literary history up to the present. He has taught seminars on topics such as posthumanism, science fiction, monster studies, and selected periods such as realism, naturalism, modernism, and postmodernism.
