Felix Dietrich is a teaching associate at the Institute for Media and Communication Studies at the University of Mannheim, where he teaches classes for the Mannheim Master in Data Science. He is also a research associate and PhD-student at the working group Media Effects and Media Psychology at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. Previously, he obtained his bachelor's degree in Media and Communication Studies as well as his master's degree in Digital Communication with a minor in Media Psychology from the University of Mannheim. In his research, he mostly deals with questions related to the psychological effects of digital media technologies. Particularly, he is interested in the influence of digital communication technologies' design on entertainment experiences as well as the experience of digital autonomy and mental health.
