Julia Jakob is an Academic Staff Member and Doctoral Student in the DFG research project “Mediated Contestation in Comparative Perspective” led by Prof. Hartmut Wessler. She studied media and communication sciences at the Universities of Mannheim, Bergen and Newcastle upon Tyne, focussing on political communications in particular. During her studies in Mannheim, Julia worked as a Student Assistant in the DFG research project “Sustainable Media Events? Production and Discursive Effects of Staged Global Political Media Events in the Area of Climate Change” led by Prof. Wessler.
