I wanted to conclude my university career with a learning experience in another culture and environment. The Summer School at the University of Mannheim offered a world renowned learning environment in Germany with the opportunity to meet people from all over the world. During my time in the program I was able to engage in discussion with people from the USA, Russia, England, and many other countries. Our differing backgrounds and education gave me new perspectives into what life is truly like in these countries and insight into their culture. Additionally, the team running the Summer School did a fantastic job of hosting and organizing many events for students to network together and enjoy the city of Mannheim. The program was a perfect way to conclude my university career. It also allowed me to travel across Europe and learn more about myself as a person. I highly recommend it to anyone that is thinking about a summer exchange program! You will meet lifelong friends and enjoy a new style of learning.

Internationality at home – The Summer School gave me the opportunity to experience this in my home country, Germany. I met many kind people from all over the world, and I was really fortunate to meet them. The classes had exciting topics to offer with enthusiastic professors, we could learn a lot from. Even when class was in the morning or especially long, everyone in class had a positive and motivational vibe. During our free time we met up many times and got to know each other well. The enthusiasm of the international students is truly refreshing, and I am grateful to the Summer School and the people I met for making this summer at home brighter.

This opportunity to spend a few weeks in a German Baroque palace for the Summer School was a unique experience that really exceeded my expectations. Together with other enthusiastic students from all over the world, I went on amazing trips and explored everything Mannheim and its surroundings have to offer. I'm inspired by the great amount of interesting insights that the professors and my classmates shared during just a few weeks. This added an unexpected dimension to my stay here for which I'm very grateful. My love for Germany only grew bigger and bigger!

The Mannheim Summer School was an experience I could never forget. We, the participants, and already friends, exchanged our thoughts, experiences and knowledge. Learning here was a social activity involving people, the things they use, the words they speak, the social setting they're in, and the actions they take. All of us learned a lot in these three weeks. The lecturers, the organizers and the participants - all were incredibly great. Thank you!
