Spiral staircase with endless blue facets. More precisely: A spiral of blue and gold elements tapering in the direction of view, with at least 12 curves. The blue elements are divided into rectangles with color gradients or shades of white, while the gold element runs almost continuously and is interrupted only by three indentations, each forming the beginning, middle, and end of a circle. On closer inspection, one notices that in the blue area, 20 rather small and dark elements alternate with 5 light and large elements. The last element, which is only about half as wide as the smaller ones, is dark blue to black and forms the end before this pattern repeats itself. Together, these indentations form several broken lines that all converge toward the center of the visually tapering spiral.
