Prof. Dr. Hardarik Blühdorn has been an Academic Staff Member at the Department of “Grammar” at the Leibniz Institute for the German Language since April 2001. In 2003, he received the venia legendi (Habilitation) in German Linguistics from the University of Mannheim.
His research interests focus on:
- Syntax and Semantics
- Information Structure
- Grammatical function words
- Text linguistics
- Comparative linguistics: German in contrast with other languages
- Acquisition and teachingof German as a foreign language.
