Prof. Dr. Lesia Horodenko is a researcher and lecturer with extensive experience in journalism, strategic communications, and information security. In 2012, she completed her Doctoral Dissertation in Social Communications.

Her research interests focus on new media, social networks, strategic communication, communication technologies, and media coverage of terrorism. She also explores propaganda, information warfare, information operations, media transformations, and digital communication on the internet and social media.

She has authored over 80 scientific publications, including monographs, chapters in collective monographs, and peer-reviewed journal articles.

Prof. Dr. Horodenko leads the scientific and educational program “Strategic Communications” and supervises Master's students at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
