Fabian Zimmermann is research associate and doctoral student at the Department of Media and Communication Studies. He received his B.A. and M.A. degree in communications from the University of Münster. He is primarily concerned with the social antecedents and consequences of political disinformation (“fake news”) as part of his Ph.D. Besides, his research focus is on media trust and distrust as well as mediatization of society. Aside from several theory-based courses, he holds classes on the principles and applications of quantitative methods in social sciences.
