After studying Translation Studies at the University of Heidelberg in the language combination German-English-French, Ramona Böttcher completed her Master's degree at the University of Mannheim in Language and Communication, specialising in English Studies, Psycholinguistics and Multilingualism. She is a Research Assistant at the Chair of Multilingualism & Education since 2024.
Ramona Böttcher is an academic staff member at the University of Mannheim since 2024. Her research interests include the cognitive benefits of multilingualism (bilingual advantage) as well as methods and language interaction in first and second language acquisition. She is currently coordinating Prof Dr Kristin Kersten's research project on language-sensitive teaching strategies in secondary schools.
Ramona Böttcher teaches techniques of scientific work in the Master's programme Language and Communication.
