Biographic Information
Anna Toews studied Culture & Economy: English/
American Studies (BA) with business administration at the University of Mannheim in Germany and the University of Limerick, Ireland. In 2025, she completed her master’s degree in Culture & Economy with a focus on English linguistics and multilingualism at the University of Mannheim, Germany. Research
Anna Toews has been an academic staff member at the JP Multilingualism since August 2025 and works for sub-project P2 (Priming in contact-setting bilinguals and monolinguals as a driver of language change) within the DFG-funded research unit SILPAC (Structuring the Input in Language Processing, Acquisition, and Change). Her research interests are first and second language acquisition, multilingualism, code-switching and the cognitive mechanisms underlying language acquisition and processing.
