The City – Hongkong

Hongkong itself is located on a peninsula in southern China. As one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world, Hongkong has a cultural diversity that makes it unique. The city is characterized by Chinese traditions mixed with Western culture. The lively city offers, among other things, numerous shopping opportunities, rooftop terraces, light shows, temples and much more. For those who like it a little quieter, one of the many city parks or a little outside the city, where it surprisingly quickly becomes very close to nature and quiet, is the perfect place. The summer months in Hongkong are very hot and the humidity is high. However, the facilities on the university campus are all air-conditioned. In winter, it doesn't get as cold as in Germany, but you still need a jacket.

University and Campus

As a university, it has existed since 1994 and has a total of 30 different courses of study. Additionally, the buildings are very modern both from the outside and inside. The university is also at the top of the world university ranking, occupying 53rd place in 2022.

On campus, students have the option of living in one of 11 residence halls. Off-campus housing in the city is also reserved by the university. CityU has 10 dining facilities located throughout the campus. So if you get hungry between classes, you can grab a bite to eat right on campus. Off campus, there are also several restaurants within a 10-minute walk. Sports and recreational facilities include both the ability to sign up for fitness classes and rooms and the use of the outdoor sports facilities such as the swimming pool or even the basketball court.
