The Higher School of Economics (HSE) University in Moscow, Russia, has been one of the best universities in the country for years. Also, in 2021 the university is on the 1st place of the Forbes Rankings of Russian Universities. In Europe, the university is especially known for its programs in economics and social sciences. Due to its world-renowned locations – Moscow, St. Petersburg, Perm and Nizhy Novgorod – many international students are also interested in HSE. With more than 4,500 international students coming from more than 100 countries around the world to study or spend a semester abroad, and more than 500 English-language courses, HSE impresses with its internationality. For example, the university cooperates with over 400 universities from all over the world. To make new students feel comfortable and involved right away, HSE offers an orientation week for them, where they can get information about the university and its offered courses and get in touch with their fellow students. There is also no lack of extracurricular activities during the orientation week. Bowling or going to the movies are on the list, for example.
In addition to residence halls for students, the university has built several cafeterias and snack bars on campus to provide food. 

Our exchange program sends you to the Moscow campus. A semester abroad in the 12 million metropolis with a historic history, can await you. In winter, ice hockey is one of the most popular attractions in Moscow. Many games of the season are played in the Cska Arena, which is located a few minutes outside the city. Among many unusual buildings, Petrovsky Park with the pink castle stands out. Even if the temperature in Moscow is in the minus range in December, you can admire the Christmas lights in the city center from the beginning of the month, which is one of the highlights of the season every year. In general, everything in Moscow can be reached by streetcar.

The exchange is possible for all students of the Faculty of Philosophy. In order to find the right courses for your own course of study from the extensive range of courses offered by the university, a comprehensive course research is advisable.
