Teacher Education at the University of Mannheim

Studying at the University of Mannheim is a dream come true for me – I get to study languages in a beautiful palace and, because of the university’s international orientation and the high number of students from around the world, I can practice speaking these languages on campus. Für mich ist mit meinem Studium an der Uni Mannheim definitiv ein Traum wahr geworden! If I had to choose where to study again, I would definitely pick Mannheim. The teachers are enthusiastic and prepare seminars on a variety of topics. This makes the program diverse and interesting.

I decided to enroll in the Teacher Education program at the University of Mannheim because of the university’s outstanding reputation. I also really liked the city’s character. The university’s international focus impresses me – it is partners with numerous universities around the world. I was able to spend a semester studying in England. The Teacher Education program is diverse and gives its students a thorough insight into the different disciplines.

I chose to study at the University of Mannheim for one reason in particular: its variety. As a student of the teacher education program in Economics and Business Education, you are given a variety of study options. Besides learning about Teaching and Education Sciences, you gain a high quality education in Economics and Business Administration, and even take a few modules in Business Law. By studying at two schools, you get to meet all kinds of different people and learn about various subject areas. This all means that studying at the University of Mannheim is particularly interesting!

As a small university, the University of Mannheim can fully exploit its strengths in Teacher Education. Whether in one of the eleven subjects, in Education Sciences, or in Teaching Methodology, you will always benefit from good teaching, an ideal learning environment, and personal contact with the teachers and staff. In our Teacher Education programs, you will deal with teaching-related topics right from the start of your studies. Special courses such as service-learning seminars and the first school placement make for a perfect combination of theory and practice. In addition, current challenges such as multilingualism and teaching linguistically and culturally diverse groups of pupils are addressed.
