Reading List 2.0
The Chairs of English Literary and Cultural Studies (Anglistik II) and of American Literary and Cultural Studies (Anglistik III) have devised an innovative, digitally accessible reading list. The reading list 2.0, which is available on Ilias, helps students in developing a deeper understanding of literary history, contexts, and key texts. Students can browse individual texts or go on a thematic reading tour to learn more about topics as diverse as the literary canon, historical fiction, or Irish literature. They will encounter the list in their introduction to literary studies and be able to use it for self-study as well as selected courses. The list is meant to wet students’ appetite for further reading and to engage them in an interactive format.
Funded by InnoMA, the reading list 2.0 is part of a wider interdisciplinary effort at the University of Mannheim to update analogue reading lists.
